I have heard lots of good reviews about Degusta and I thought I'd try it out for myself to see if the hype was true and I was pleasantly surprised. Part of my goals for this year is to try new things and explore more. I'm so used to buying the same snacks/food that I am comfortable with all the time, so I was happy to try out Degusta monthly subscription box for a change. I was kindly gifted the March Degusta box to review and I will be sharing all my thoughts in this post. If you've ever wondered what it is all about, read on!

HOW IT WORKS

Degusta box is a surprise food subscription service whereby you get to enjoy 10-15 goodies, many are completely new to the market! All for much less than you would pay in the shops.

From the photo above, you can see how easy it is to subscribe, receive and review your new snacks with free shipping - whoop! whoop!!I'm sure you'd like that. I've also got a sweet discount for you which I'll share at the end of this post, so you can get yours at a reduced price. But first, lets jump right into the nitty gritty of this review.

Titled "Spring and Easter" on the product sheet, I'm really loving the variety of snacks packed in the March box. I received 15 snacks in total and almost all of them were new snacks that I have never tried. A few snacks were perfect as lunch box snacks for the kids and there was beer for the husband, which he was happy to drink (I don't drink beer.) I haven't tried all the snacks yet, as they are a lot - which is a great thing because you get your money's worth and you can enjoy any of your snacks weekly for a month. However, I have tried a few and here are my thoughts about them:

1. Terry's Chocolate Orange Minis Exploding Candy: This was a fun one to try and my kids were amazed at how it popped in our mouth. They are exploding candy that pops in your mouth after a few seconds of chewing them. They are made of real orange flavoured milk chocolates with popping candy.

2. Weetabix On The Go Strawberry: I have tried this product in the past and it does taste nice and it is really filling. It is a delicious breakfast drink with loads of energy (from iron), fibre and protein into a convenient, grab-and-go bottle.

3. KIND Snacks: This was a surprise one for me you know. I have finally found a healthier substitute to Snickers. The KIND chocolate bar was not only tasty and nutritious, but it was also full of whole nuts bound together with honey. Plus they're all gluten free and naturally high in protein.

4. Chum Fruit Bites Apple: This is a product i've been seeking to introduce my kids to. My kids have a sweet tooth and they like all things candy, cookies and chocolate, but I want them to get used to eating healthy snacks. Chum is 100% fruit, vegan, high in fibre, Kosher (I'm starting to love Kosher foods as I like the jewish culture) and gluten free. It has no artificial, no preservatives nor concentrates. Just purely baked fruits. Although my kids didn't particularly like the taste of it (sud off! sweet tooth) the more I give it to them, I'm sure they will get used to the taste and love it. I tried it and it tastes really nice.

5. Forest Feast: Another pleasant surprise one for me. I can now swap Malteasers for Forest Feast. They are soft, bite-sized balls of exotic dried mango blended with tropical coconut and covered in creamy Belgian Milk Chocolate. A little bit of indulgence with less of the guilt. They taste soo good.

6. Green & Black's Praline and Truffle Bars: I tried the Truffle bar and it tasted so nice. It had a layer of dark chocolate shell to reveal the yummy truffle centre. I'm yet to try the praline bar, but I'm sure it would be just as nice. It is made with ethically sourced chocolate and no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives.

7. Moose Juice Passion Fruit: l loved this drink. Such a lovely tasting energy drink. Moose Juice is a delicious Zero sugar, aspartame free energy drink with added BCAAs and B vitamins. This drink gave me a nice boost of energy.

8. Jubel Alpine Beer Cut with Peach: I usually don't drink beer because I don't like the taste (I've got a sweet tooth too, haha!) but for the purpose of this review, I decided to try the beer so I could share my thoughts about it. I must say, this is the best tasting beer I've ever tried. No jokes! It felt really feminine to drink like it was made for the ladies. I just can't explain it, but I really enjoyed it. It had a sweet peachy taste and contains 4.0% alcohol. Alpine combines a lively lager with the zest of freshly ripe peaches. Naturally infused, gluten free and vegan - now available in Sainsbury's.

A few of the snacks that I haven't tried yet are:

- Costa Signature Blend Coffee

- Green and Black's Praline

- Forest Feast Coconut Fruit Balls

- Red Red Black Eyed Beans and Tomato

- Willies Cacao Single Estate Chocolate

*** UPDATE

Ballymaloe Original Relish: I tried this product with a sandwich and it was so delicious. I really enjoyed it. It is perfect with beef burgers, French fries, cold meats, cheese, sausage rolls, salads, chicken and cheese/ham and cheese toastie. Ballymaloe is rich in tomatoes, delicious and incredibly versatile. It is made of all-natural ingredients, gluten free and is also suitable for vegans.

I'm pretty sure these snacks will taste really delicious. With the few snacks i've tried so far, I am so impressed with Degusta Box. (I will update this post as soon as I try the rest of them.) If you have enjoyed this review and would like to get your hands on a Degusta box, you can subscribe here and use my special discount code U4ZKV to get your first box for £7.99 instead of £12.99. Amazing! Hope you enjoy your happy snacks!

Love,

Ezi x
