#Myaquaphor challenge

A few weeks ago, I received an email from Britmums asking if I would like to do the #myaquaphor challenge sponsored by the dermatological skincare brand Eucerin and I was thrilled. I've always had dry skin right from childhood, so when I was offered Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm, I couldn't resist trying it out on my dry skin. I was excited to do this challenge because the balm is one skincare product that soothes your skin and simplifies your life. I only say yes to brands and products I really like and think is right for me, my family and my readers, so this product and challenge sounded perfect!

I received the product a few days later in its cute little box and after reading the interesting uses of the balm from the packaging, I was really impressed at what it had to offer and I wanted to experience it for myself by using the product daily. Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm is that one balm that I use for my lips, hands, toes, face and body. I also use it on my kids eczema prone skin to soothe their skin.

HOW MY FAMILY USES MY AQUAPHOR IN OUR SKINCARE ROUTINE

1. Lips: I use my aquaphor soothing balm on my lips and that of my kids to soothe chapped lips especially now that it is winter and our lips are prone to cracks and dryness. I also apply it on my lips as a lip gloss or a first coat before I apply my matte lipstick

2. Hands: for my hands, I use my aquaphor as a barrier cream before I do the dishes, so that it protects my hands from the chemicals in the washing up liquid. I also use it after washing up to avoid dryness, so it moisturises my hands. It is also a great moisturising balm to use whenever I feel like my hands and fingers are dry with white patches. We also apply the balm on the kids whenever they've had their hands washed

3. Toes: the balm is also great on the feet and toes of my husband who sometimes gets really dry and cracked feet. He enjoys moisturising in between his toes with the balm. Same with the rest of us, the kids and I get some of that good stuff on our feet too

4. Face: my aquaphor is a great face moisturiser. Perfect as a primer to prepare my face for foundation and makeup. I really don't need to apply it under a primer as it doubles as both a moisturiser and a primer for me. win-win!

5. Body: Even though it is a small tub, a little goes a long way on our body. I use it all over my kids body to moisturise them. I also apply it on my son before he wears his bedtime nappy, so it acts a barrier cream to avoid nappy rash. Even though he is day time potty trained, we do have the occasional night time accidents and it is great to know my aquaphor is there to the rescue, keeping my son well moisturised to avoid rashes down there

I keep my aquaphor on my dressing table, so it is easily accessible to the whole family. Sometimes I end up finding it in the bathroom, after someone has used it in the bathroom. When I go out and about, I pop it into my bag and take it with me. It's really nice to know I can always top up on my moisturiser whenever I need it urgently. Most especially, you can be sure to find my aquaphor in my makeup bag. Very essential for my face and lips.

The experience really made me realise how essential it is for us to look after the largest organ in our body - our skin. Here is some information on Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm:

1. The balm gives dry to very dry, cracked and irritated skin the care it needs

2. Formulated with only seven ingredients, Aquaphor is gentle on highly irritated skin as well as on sensitive baby skin and also in the nappy area

3. Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm creates a breathable protective barrier, allowing oxygen and water vapor to circulate to and from the skin

4. The Eucerin Aquaphor formula has been trusted for its effectiveness in repairing a wide range of skin issues since 1925

I am really impressed with what I would call a "small but mighty" product. We have really enjoyed applying this soothing skin balm that helps support skin's own regeneration process. Thank you Britmums and Eucerin for sending us this amazing product. Thank you for reading and I hope you try this balm soon.
