Cupcake making with the kids

Over the weekend, we went grocery shopping with the kids at Tesco and a pack of Paw Patrol cupcake kit caught my son's eyes. He is a big fan of Paw patrol, so it was inevitable for him to see the kit and pass. I thought it would be a great idea to get one and bake some along with the kids. My daughter loves to be with me in the kitchen whilst I cook, so I knew it would be a great idea to have her try her hands on baking for the first time.

The Paw Patrol cupcake kit contains a pack of 10 cupcake papers, a pack of cupcake mix, a pack of wafer Paw Patrol designs and a pack of icing sugar mix. When we got home, we got baking. Nina helped mix the dry ingredients with one egg and a few teaspoons of milk, just as instructed on the pack, whilst I set the oven to preheat. She really enjoyed mixing and popping the mixture into the oven with my help.
As soon as the cupcakes were ready, we mixed the icing sugar and put the wafer designs on them. All of the baking and icing was under 30 minutes to do. It was quick and easy, and a great way to get the kids to try baking. Here are some pictures of our yummy delights.

My verdict: The brand of Paw Patrol cupcakes was really easy to make and it tasted good. Not as delicious as I would have loved it to be, but it was good enough and tasty. We love cupcakes and baking them too. Do you like to bake? what is your favourite cupcake flavour? Let me know in the comments.
