BOBUX SHOES REVIEW AW19

Writer's picture: EzinmaEzinma

Listen, if there is anything I'm most excited for in my kids shoe closet right now, it has got to be their new Bobux shoes. Getting the right shoes for kids can be quite a daunting process because you can't feel what your kid feels when they wear their shoes, so you just have to hope for the best. From the moment I opened their boxes of Bobux Shoes, I could already see the high quality craftsmanship, trendy and comfortable design of the shoes.

We were kindly gifted two pairs each of the Bobux AW19 shoe collection for a review. Omg! I adore this brand for their excellence in making the perfect shoes for kids. Bobux shoes are high quality, super stylish, functional durable and fun. I wish they made some shoes for grown ups, I would be first in line to order them. The new AW19 collection is so amazing, but before I get into the nitty gritty of this review, let me start by introducing you to the brand.

BOBUX SHOES

Bobux Shoes was founded back in the 1990s by founders, Chris and Colleen Bennett. They were searching for the best shoes for their baby daughter Chloe and unfortunately, no one made them at the time. So Chris made the world's first pair of soft soles made with leather and suede. The shoes were in high demand, that In 1991, Bobux was born, founded on an idea of making shoes that support natural movement for growing feet.

Thirty years later, Bobux makes hundreds of different stylish and trendy shoes for little ones at every stage of growth. Throughout the journey, they engaged podiatrists and researchers to guide their designs. They still craft the world’s best children’s shoes, designed in Auckland, New Zealand, and delivered to over 40 countries around the globe.

"For almost 30 years we’ve been making the world’s best shoes for little explorers, walking with them as they plant their feet upon the world. From the earliest adventures to world leaders in comfort and protection, find out where we started, where we are and where we're going next."

WHAT'S NEW IN AW19?

For AW19, Bobux introduced their "Most Advanced Trainer Yet" - Dimension. The High and Lo Dimension trainers are very unique and stylish, with the High Dimension winning Gold for the "Best Design Award 2017." Also introduced, are the fun Waterproof and Merino Fleece collections; to keep kid’s feet snug and healthy all through the colder months.

I also got to try StrutFit on the Bobux website. It shows you how to measure your child’s feet using your smartphone. I found it useful and accurate in getting Nina's shoe size, but not quite accurate for Milan's shoe size. However, if you know the EU size of your child's feet, you can still shop online.

OUR TOP FAVES

I like all things comfortable and stylish, so when it came to selecting the shoes we wanted to review from their website, it was quite a tough decision because all the children's shoes looked comfortable and stylish. You can tell from the pictures on their website that the shoes are top quality. When it came down to it, I selected a pair of Grass Court - Waterproof shoes for both kids, a pair of Signet for Nina and a pair of Paddingtons for Milan.

The Grass Court is one of my faves for the kids. It is the first waterproof trainer ever made by Bobux. I love the modern look of the shoes & the soft and flexible sole for easy movement and comfort whilst the kids play and puddle-jump. It also features an internal membrane that keeps growing feet dry and healthy in wet weather, and a cotton melange lining for breathability and comfort. I chose the vibrant silver and navy Grass Court shoes for Nina and Milan. Costs £55

The plum Signet boot is another stylish one for all occasions. Made from premium leather, it features a beautiful light wax coating, gold side gusset, zip closure and elastic panelling for an easy-to-wear fit and modern look. It also has a soft and flexible sole with a hive design to provide excellent grip. Costs £55.

The Paddington boot is just simply amazing. Who would have known the Navy Paddington boot was waterproof? The design and style is just amazing and perfect for winter. Made from leather with a rubber-like navy finish. it features fine merino lining to keep kids feet dry, warm and healthy in cold and wet conditions. It is good to know that the Paddington boot has been tested to keep kids' feet dry for up to and over four hours submerged in water. Costs £60.

These shoes will make a great gift this Christmas and beyond. My kids love wearing theirs and I'm happy with the shoes. I hope you have enjoyed this review and you can check out more styles here.
